WE'RE IN KENTUCKY BABY!
Tuesday 24 April: 11.20pm EST-USA

SOOOOO excited - the poor Avis Rent-a-Car ladies got a tornedo of me as I literally skipped to their desk!!!  I was very happy to see all my luggage come through the plastic screens - I had to put some pretty important stuff in "checked" bags with HUGE "FRAGILE" stickers!!!

Trying to keep the peepers open in LAX!
I must say - I DO NOT like long-haul flights!  I did okay for the AKL-LAX part - actually sleeping off and on for about 6hrs, waking up with the obligatory crick-in-the-neck, one-numb-arm, and that cheeky-left-cheek also snoozing!!! MY BODY HURTS WHEN IT DOESN'T MOVE!

BOARDER Security at LAX was brilliant!!!  He actually made me blush - haha, very smooth with ALL the ladies I'm sure (and probably the men too!), but I must say, I took the compliaments and ran!!!  Especially after 12hrs on a plane!!!  Its good for the soul!!!

AND - 38HRS LATER:  HELLO GORGEOUS LEXINGTON KENTUCKY!!!

BLUE GRASS STATE!
ITS ALL ABOUT THE HORSES!

The flight was beautiful - clear skies from Chicago to Lexington - allowing me a birds-eye view of part of the USA - I do want to take a closer look at Chicago, and I am soooo close to a favourite-city-I-have-yet-to-visit: NEW YORK - I CAN ALMOST TASTE THE STREET VENDOR HOT DOGS!!!  But, that will have to wait for another time, far too focused on the season ahead!!

I did want to spin to the Kentucky Horse Park after dropping my gear at my hotel, but I have been having problems downloading my Adobe Lightroom Editing System onto my new baby, so, ended up speaking directly with an Adobe IT man and with his help, I got it installed, the process started at 5.10pm, and finished just on 8pm!  Brilliant service from Adobe - and one very happy clicker - this means all my images from now will go through that, with all my images up to this date on my trusty Toshiba for now (only a few more to edit from NZL) - nice and clean!

I quickley leapt into my Blades and went for a ZOOOM - gosh, the ligs were very happy!!!  Music blasting, kids on the streets playing basketball, fabulous footpaths (and in suburban Lexington - super-smooth wide streets with no traffic and lotsa fun hills, dips, corners...)...

Then - dinner: hmmm, Arby's - McD's - Wendy's - IHOP - Taco Bell - Burger King - (should I go on? - And need I say - NOT IMPRESSED!!!)  - thanks to Sat-Nav, I explored further and found Applebees - at least they offered salads!!!  Was pretty darn good too!!!

So: Fed, Watered, Charged, Imported, Downloaded... and best of all - BLADED!!!

Here is a quick look at a few more handsome men that will be gracing my lenses over the next few days:
GBR-Townend
USA-Pollard
GBR-Fox-Pitt
